In the past, the district have given out several awards each year at District Assembly. Different awards are given out each year.

Faith In Action
The Faith In Action Award is an award created in 2005 to honor a group or congregation who put our faith in action. The award is presented to a group or congregation that has an innovative social action program that is an example of our faith in action.

Service to Youth and Children
The OMD Service to Youth and Children Award honors a person who has shown great dedication to the children and youth within the district, cluster, congregation and/or the community at large. This individual has shared a meaningful and positive relationship with the young people they have served. This award was created in 2008.

The UU Visibility Award is presented to an individual, congregation or cluster in recognition of an outstanding project to increase congregational and/or denominational visibility in the community at large.

The OMD Unsung Hero Award honors a person who is judged to have given high levels of service to the district, cluster, their congregation and/or the community at large while receiving relatively low levels of recognition. The disparity between the degree of service and the degree of recognition is important in this award.

These awards were given on a one time basis for special recognition of a congregation in the area recognized.

This award was created in 2007, this is a special recognition for each congregation to confer on one member. Congregation were invited to name a valuable new leader who, as a member of five years or less, has made a significant impact in church life. There is no district level selection.
