Each year the District Board presents several awards recognizing outstanding work for and in the district. In 2009 five different awards will be given: The Ohio-Meadville District Unsung Hero Award; The Unitarian Universalism Visibility Award; The Faith In Action Award, The Ohio-Meadville District Service to Youth and Children Award, and the Rising Star Recognition. To find out more about a particular award or download a nomination form, please click the award name. In addition, the Accessibilities Committee will be presenting an award as well. Click here for information about their award.

Nominations can be submitted via email or via snail mail and should be sent to the Ohio-Meadville District Office. Deadline for all award nominations is January 15, 2009. Electronic submissions are preferred.

The OMD Board will review the nominations and select the winners at their February meeting. The board would like, if at all possible, to have the winners present at the District Assembly to be recognized in person. Once the winners are selected, Board members will contact the nominators of the winners to make the necessary arrangements to have the winners at the assembly.
