Eighth Annual Curriculum Fair
March 13, 2010
North Hills UU Church, Pittsburgh, PA
Big Church/Small Church: Learning From One Another
From shores to hills, souls to hope, fellowships to societies our district has a wide variety of religious communities. Our congregations' RE programs serve anywhere from hundreds of students down to the single digits and each congregation has lessons to teach. This year's curriculum fair will feature a panel of religious educators from a variety of Unitarian Universalist congregations around the Ohio-Meadville District to answer your questions as well as discuss problems and solutions they've found in their own programs. Come join us to see what our large and small congregations have to teach us and each other.
What else will be happening?
- A panel presentation on offering the Tapestry of Faith programs and “Spirit Play” in our congregations
- The OMD RE Library will be available for browsing and borrowing resources
- Opportunities to network with others involved in religious education in our district and to share experiences
- A look at new and forthcoming curricula from the UUA and independent authors
Workshops
- A presentation on the UUA’s free “Tapestry of Faith” lifespan curriculum and how they can be used in your RE program.
- Additional workshop offerings to be announced.
