The OMD is governed by a Board of Trustees elected by a District Assembly. The District Assembly oversees the work of the board and approves changes to bylaws.
The Ohio-Meadville District is governed by a board of trustees currently made up of 4 officers and 6 trustees. The board is currently in the process of downsizing and will eventually have 4 officers and 3 trustees. The board sets goals, creates action plans, provides oversight for the district committees and other responsibilities as spelled out in the bylaws. The District Assembly is made up of representatives from each UUA Certified congregation within the geographic borders of the district and their professional staff. District Assembly meets each year in March or April and special meetings as called. You can learn more about this year's district assembly at the District Assembly Page. In addition, the annual report is sent out each year in February prior to the annual meeting.

The district staff work to further the goals of the district as set forth by the district assembly and board. The staff is led by Rev. Joan VanBecealere, District Executive. You can learn more about the staff at the staff page.
