We are planning a Youth Missions Work Camp experience for June 2012. This is open to youth (and adults) in the OMD and SLD. If you are from Metro NY or JPD and are interested, please complete the registration form to add your name on our list and we will notify you if we have openings. See the timeline below.

The funding for the camp is being underwritten by a very generous grant from the Fund for Unitarian Universalist Social Responsibility. We thank them for their support.
Details:
- The work camp will be at the Southern Appalachian Folklife Center in Pipestem, WV
- We will help with home projects for low-income families and seniors in the community.
- We have just 27 slots for youth, and 2 for additional adults. If your congregation would like to send more than 3 youth, please contact Michelle Buhite first to determine if we have room to accommodate your entire group.
- This opportunity is open to youth age 14-18.
- The cost will include transportation, room, and food. Total cost is $250 per person thanks to a generous grant we received. Half is due when you sign up, balance is due by May 15th.
- Half Scholarships are available for about 10 people.
- We hope congregations will step forward to sponsor campers.
- There will be work… but there will be lots of FUN, too!
- For youth, you can register now. Adults can indicate their interest and will be chosen later once we know who we have and their skill sets. Timeline:
- December 22-April 15 - Registration period. Register now and pay your deposit of half your registration fee
- April 1 - Scholarship Application Deadline. Please send to office@ohiomeadville.org or fax to 866-460-7969
- April 15 - Deposit due in. You will be removed from the list if we have not received your $125 deposit by this date.
- April 15 - Last day to cancel and receive a full refund less our $5 processing fee.
- May 15 - Final payment balance due. You will be removed from the list if we have not received your full $250 payment by this date.
- May 15 - Last day to cancel. Between April 16 and May 15 we will keep your $125 deposit.
- May 15- Parental Permission Form and Medical Release Forms due in the OMD Office. Mail to

- May 15 - Notification of adults who expressed interest to determine if they are still available to go.
- May 16 - We will begin notifying those on the wait list of openings in the order in which they applied. You will have 3 days (72 hours) to decide if you are still interested and respond to our notification.
- June 1 - Final payment for those wait listed is due.
- June 3 - No refunds for cancellations after this date unless a replacement can be found for you.
We have scheduled this opportunity to dovetail with 'Justice GA' to spread the good work from the desert of the southwest to the mountains of West Virginia.
