OMDUUMA stands for the Ohio Meadville District Unitarian Universalist Minister’s Association. OMDUUMA is open to all persons who are members of the Unitarian Universalist Minister’s Association. Students who wish to attend OMDUUMA are welcome to attend, however, they must be UUMA student members. UUMA Interns and interims are always welcome. OMDUUMA meets twice a year for two evenings and two half days (generally Monday lunch – Wednesday lunch). All members of the Unitarian Universalist Minister’s Association in good standing are welcome to attend. We also meet for dinner on the Friday night prior to the Annual District Assembly (the location changes every year).

Member Expectations
It is expected that every member of OMDUUMA will:
- Pay his/her dues to the chapter in full and on-time, unless other arrangements are made with the treasurer.
- Colleagues are expected to attend at least one out of the three events held (two retreats, one dinner).
- Colleagues are expected to notify a member of the Executive Team if s/he cannot attend an OMDUUMA event.
- Colleagues are expected to answer “yes” when asked to give service to OMDUUMA, unless under extreme or extraordinary circumstances would prevent one from doing so.
OMDUUMA Retreat Information
WHEN? Retreats are generally held during either the last week of September or the first week of October, and the last week of January or the first week of February. Registration is made available through the event registration section of the website.
WHY? To build collegial relationships; to be supported and to support other colleagues; for rest and renewal. One retreat each year features an outside speaker/presenter on a topic of interest to OMDUUMA colleagues.
SCHOLARSHIP MONEY is available, particularly for those who are serving less than full-time or in community settings that do not provide professional expense account. Please contact the treasurer to request a scholarship. Scholarships given on a first-come, first-served basis.
